This guide applies only to accounts belonging to TU Wien students. If you wish to change the password for a staff account, please use the corresponding guide (applies to staff members, additional staff members, assigned personnel, and external staff).

This guide shows you how to change your three main TU Wien passwords. Please note that passwords in institute systems cannot be managed using this method.

On January 30, 2026, all TU Wien passwords were reset. This also applies to passwords that were recently changed.

If you have an ID Austria, you can set a new password using these instructions.

If you do not have an ID Austria or if the login is not working, please come to the Campus IT Service Center in person and bring your TUcard or an ID card for verification.
