What it's about: You need the AD password to log in to your TU Wien email account, TUfiles, or the TUcloud.

  1. Go to the TUportal. Melden Sie sich dort mit Ihrem TUaccount oder ID Austria an.
screen

2. Click on “Account Management” in the left margin column.

screen

3. Click on “My Accounts” at the bottom left. Here you can change all your centrally managed passwords (TUaccount, TU-AD, and network).

screen

4. In the “TU-AD (upTUdate, Active Directory)” tab, click the blue button “Set new password for TU-AD (upTUdate, Active Directory)”.

screen

5. Enter the desired new password and check the box for the automatic lock warning.

screen

6. Now click on “Set password.” Your TU-AD password has now been reset.

screen

7. Note: If you have remained logged in on a device and your account is blocked, you can unblock it yourself. Log out of the device in question and set the same new password for your TU-AD account again.

Important information!

Please note that a separate secure password should be used for each account. If you have used the same password for multiple accounts, you should also change them for these accounts. For better management, we recommend using a password manager. Instructions on how to do this are already being worked on.
