First, we develop a clear understanding of the project's objectives, its current state, and its overall framework. This involves gaining an insight into the project's history, existing systems, timelines, and strategic goals. In collaboration with stakeholders, we then define responsibilities to ensure transparent and efficient decision-making.

Our primary focus is on the end users. We assess their needs, review existing feedback, and examine typical usage scenarios. We distinguish essential core functions from supplementary 'nice-to-haves', while considering data protection and accessibility from the outset.

In terms of technical implementation, we will determine the focus platforms (e.g. web and mobile), identify any existing technologies that need to be integrated and define the required interfaces and connected systems. We also take technological preferences and constraints into account.

Effective design is rooted in clarity and context. We either build on existing design systems or develop a consistent, accessible interface. We align expectations for the look and feel, interaction, user guidance, and accessibility requirements early on.

Transparent communication is key. From the outset, we clarify who is responsible for content, decision-making, and development, whether as a point of contact, product owner or technical implementation partner. This creates a solid basis for successful collaboration.
