What is it about?

Your main password, the TUaccount password, is used to log in to most systems and also allows you to change your other passwords.

1. Go to the TUportal, opens an external URL in a new window. Log in there with ID Austria.

2. Click on “Account Management” in the left-hand column.

3. Click on “My Accounts” at the bottom left. Here you can change all your centrally managed passwords (TUaccount, TU-AD, and network).

4. In the “TUaccount” tab, click on the blue “Change TUaccount password” button.
IMPORTANT: If you have both an employee and a student account, this function (only for TUaccount, not for TU-AD and network!) will also change the TUaccount password for your student account at the same time.

5. Enter the desired new password.

6. If you have enabled two-factor authentication, you must also reset it. To do this, click the “Remove two-factor authentication” button.

7. Now click on “Set password.” Your TUaccount password has now been reset.

Important information!

Please note that a separate secure password should be used for each account!
If you have used the same password for multiple accounts, it should also be changed for those accounts.
For better management, we recommend using a password manager. Instructions on how to do this are already being prepared.
