The Data Center of the TU Wien is the backbone of the important services of TU.it.Telephone, email, web services, learning and collaboration platforms and various infrastructure for institutes and much more converge there. At this particular time, when we are even more dependent on the functioning of the digital infrastructure, it is particularly important that its stability is guaranteed now and in the future. It must also be possible to scale up the network further if necessary due to higher loads. In order to further guarantee this stability, necessary maintenance must be carried out at the data center.

This maintenance will take place on Friday, 17 April 2020 from 3 pm.

Due to the central function of the data center, almost all IT services of the TU Wien are affected. This maintenance became necessary because the currently used software of a central data center component has recently been discontinued by the manufacturer. To prevent a stability and security risk, the software must be updated and tested within the announced maintenance window. The aim is to keep downtimes as low as possible and thus to affect your processes as little as possible. Please make sure that you do not set any activities in the network during the maintenance period.
