Update service outage TUfiles

Dear Colleagues!

Yesterday’s test run was generally successful. You will regain access to TUfiles later today (May 28, 2026).

Availability by cluster:

The data is distributed across four clusters, which we will gradually bring online by this evening. You can find out which cluster your file share is on and when it will become available here: https://colab.tuwien.ac.at/x/oACxJQ, opens an external URL in a new window

Setting up the network drive connection:

Forgotten your share name?

If you can no longer remember your share name, please send a ticket with the subject line “TUfiles Share Name” to help@it.tuwien.ac.at. Certain user groups can also view this name in the TUShop. Support for connection issues:

If you are having problems setting up the network drive connection, please first contact your organisational unit’s IT administrator. If no internal IT support is available, please send a ticket to help@it.tuwien.ac.at. Please state your operating system and version, and attach screenshots of any error messages if applicable. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Note on ticket processing:

To speed up processing, please document error messages via screenshots and have a single person from your organisational unit send these collectively to help@it.tuwien.ac.at. This will enable us to provide more targeted and faster support.

Important notes:

Permissions and orders: At present, it is not possible to grant new permissions or set up new shares. We will inform you as soon as this is possible again.
Data volume: As we are expecting very high traffic over the next few days, we ask that you refrain from uploading large data volumes to TUfiles for the time being.
