Changes to ordering and billing processes due to the shutdown of the GemStone system

The shutdown of the GemStone system also affects ordering and billing functions.

As part of the TUidentity migration, the GemStone system will be shut down, which will also affect some familiar ordering and billing functions. The familiar service pages will no longer be available from August 4th. Some services have already been moved to the TUshop in recent months, and a few are about to be moved. This may result in restrictions during the transition phase. Below is an overview of the services that have not yet been migrated and the restrictions to be expected. This list will be updated regularly so that you can always find the latest information here.

  • TUhost:
    Until the migration is complete, please send orders/cancellations and changes via ticket/email to help@it.tuwien.ac.at.
  • TUclient:
    The devices are already visible in the TUshop. Until the migration is complete, please send any orders/cancellations and changes via ticket/email to help@it.tuwien.ac.at. Subsequent changes are also planned in this area through the activation of a client management system and the expansion of services.
  • TUiScsiBackupDisk:
    Significant service changes are planned here. Until the migration is complete, please submit orders/cancellations and changes via ticket/email to help@it.tuwien.ac.at.
  • TUwordpress:
    Until the migration is complete, please send orders/cancellations and changes via ticket/email to help@it.tuwien.ac.at.

GemStone has completed its final billing for Q2/2025. Starting in Q3/2025, all CIT billing will be handled by TUshop.
