Software update for firewall systems

Dear colleagues and students,

we would like to inform you that we will be carrying out a software update on our firewall systems on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We cannot completely rule out a brief disruption to data traffic during the software update. Please avoid carrying out business-critical or time-sensitive tasks during this period, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Our team has taken all necessary measures to minimise the impact on network functionality. We are continuously monitoring the update process to ensure that all services are restored to a stable state as quickly as possible. Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you have any questions or encounter any issues following the update, please contact us immediately at noc@tuwien.ac.at.

FWaaS firewalls – FW-OFFICE, FW-ISH and FW-Institute
