Problems activating Microsoft Office LTSC 2024 - solved

There are currently issues with activating Microsoft Office LTSC 2024 on Windows computers.

Due to an error in the Microsoft Office Installer from November 2024, incorrect license keys were stored on Windows computers, which have recently expired. As a result, activations of Ms Office 2024 LTSC are currently failing. We are working on a one-click fix. We will report back as soon as it has been successfully tested.

Mac computers are not affected; computers maintained by CIT are managed centrally by us (no intervention necessary).

Solution

The activation script with at least version 2.1.0.8 contains the necessary fix, and activations can be performed without further intervention by the end user.
