On Tuesday, June 1, 2021 changes will be made to the security systems of the TUnet internet connection. In a maintenance window between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. a necessary adaptation of the firewall setup will be carried out. This serves as preparation for modernising and increasing the stability and performance of the TU Wien internet connection.

This will affect all wired TUnet network connections for end systems in offices as well as server systems in the server housing and data centre environment. During the specified period, there may be repeated interruptions in the internet connectivity to and from TUnet and its services.

We will endeavour to keep the interruptions as short as possible and thank you for your understanding.

No changes to your end systems are necessary. If you suspect a problem after the maintenance work carried out has been completed, please first check the network settings of your system or contact the IT contact person at your institute.
