Search function and login in Outlook

Some users experience problems with the search function and login in Outlook

We are aware that the search function in Outlook causes problems for some users (the University of Vienna also reports the problem). Error message "We are having problems retrieving results from the server". However, the link to the local search "Let us look on your computer instead" works as a workaround. It might also help to set the cache to unlimited (default is one year).

There are also isolated cases where the login does not work in the Outlook desktop app, but only via webmail (OWA).
