Maintenance on the Karlsplatz switch-router

On August 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m., urgent maintenance work will be performed on the switch-router for the network building complex Karlsplatz. A loss of network connectivity may occur.

Update 8:40 pm: The maintenance work was successfully completed at 8:30 pm. A full restart was not required. Thank you for your patience!

The maintenance work will incur a temporary loss of redundancy, but existing connections should not be interrupted.

Should further problems arise, a full restart of the switch-router may become necessary; this means an outage of up to 30 minutes in the whole Karlsplatz network (including the server housing locations connected to Karlsplatz). Both WiFi and cable LAN (including electronic access control, GUT cameras, and TUphone) will be affected at the following locations:

Karlsplatz 13 (buildings AA through AT)
Karlsgasse 11 and 13 (buildings EB and EC)
Gusshausstraße 28 and 30 (or Erzherzog-Johann-Platz 1; buildings FA, FB, and FC)
Favoritenstraße 16 (building HK)
