Given the high priority of restoring access to TUfiles, this service will be made available to all users again from Thursday, 28 May 2026.
As 27 May 2026 is the only date available for final testing of the new system, you may experience occasional connection issues. If you receive error messages, please take a screenshot and send it to help@it.tuwien.ac.at. Our support team will contact you immediately and assist you in resolving the issue – including on-site support if required.
Important note regarding system requirements:
For security reasons, we can only support Windows and Linux systems that have not yet reached their end of life (EOL).
Windows: from version 10 (ESU support until October 2026).
All systems: must support SMB version 3.1.1 and SMB encryption.
If your system does not meet these requirements, please contact us – together we will find an alternative solution.

Please note: As stated in the instructions, the username to be used is now username@intern.tuwien.ac.at.
Further security measures and system improvements will be implemented during ongoing operations. We will inform you of any planned changes in good time.
