Planned maintenance work

On Monday, January 5, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., all cross-site VLANs in the backbone network will be converted to VXLAN technology.

For new services and the use of new technologies, as well as for security reasons, it is necessary to convert all VLANs connected to multiple locations in the backbone to VXLAN technology.

The changeover will cause a 5-10 minute interruption in connectivity in the affected VLAN. Only institute VLANs that are present at multiple backbone locations and are not yet in VXLAN mode will be affected. TU services such as TUphone, Wi-Fi, etc. will not be affected by the changeover.

No changes to your end systems are necessary. If you suspect a problem after the maintenance work has been completed, please first check the network settings of your system or contact the IT contact person at your institute.
