On Friday, May 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., software upgrades will be performed on the Arsenal backbone router at TU Wien

Due to an incomplete software update at the beginning of the year, it has become necessary to restart the switch routers at the Arsenal in the TU Wien backbone network. At the same time, an updated software version will be put into operation to ensure continued support from the manufacturer in the future.

The following areas are affected:

Arsenal (OA, OB, OC, OD, OY, OZ)

The switch routers will be updated one after the other. The upgrade will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes; the respective services will be unavailable for 15 to 30 minutes. The outages will affect the wired TUnet, TUwlan, telephones, cameras, and access systems.

No changes to your end systems are necessary. If you suspect a problem after the maintenance work has been completed, please first check the network settings of your system or contact the IT contact person at your institute.
