Maintenance on TUnet Internet connection security systems

In a maintenance window between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7,2021 a necessary adaptation of the firewall setup will take place.

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 changes will be made to security systems of the TUnet Internet connection. In a maintenance window between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., a necessary adaptation of the firewall setup will take place. This serves as preparation for the modernization and increase of stability and performance of the internet connection of the TU Wien.

This affects all wired TUnet network connections for end systems in offices as well as server systems in server housing and data center environments. During the specified period, there may be repeated interruptions in Internet connectivity to and from TUnet and its services.

We strive to keep the interruptions as short as possible and thank you for your understanding.

No changes to your end systems are necessary. If you suspect a problem after completing the maintenance work performed, please first check the network settings of your system or contact the IT contact person at your institute.
