Restart of BI03-BI10 switch on Fri 18 Sep 2020

Due to necessary software updates, the switch for floors BI03 through BI10 must be restarted. This will be performed on Friday, 18 September 2020 at about 06:30 am. All network services will be unavailable for 10 to 15 minutes.

The switches responsible for network connectivity of the following areas require the installation of a software update:

Getreidemarkt, Loschmidt wing, 3rd through 10th floors (BI03, BI04, BI05, BI06, BI07, BI08, BI09, BI10)

Due to increased capacity requirements it has become necessary to install an additional switch in the distribution closet. The software update must be installed to ensure the successful integration of this new switch into the existing group of switches.

As part of the installation process, the switches must be restarted. During the restart, all devices on the affected floors will lose their network connections for approx. 10 to 15 minutes. This includes PCs, phones, access control systems and Wi-Fi connections. The restart should have no other noticeable effect.
