The colleagues of the district heating were able to determine the place of damage and found out that during gutting works on a building under reconstruction in the area of 1030 Vienna, Ungargasse the district heating line was dredged through.
This affects several fiber optic cables as well as the hot water installations.

Restoration work on the route is already underway so that cables can then be temporarily pulled in and spliced.
If no further unforeseen complications occur during the recovery efforts, reactivation of the downed services will be able to occur vs. late evening.
