Public folders are used to enable all members of an organizational unit to access (common) information.
However, they are not intended for data archiving or file sharing!
Public folders are available for the following Outlook clients: Outlook Web App, Outlook 2010 and higher and Outlook for Mac.
In upTUdate, a public folder (with 10 GB) is created for an organizational unit at the request of an address manager and assigned to an upTUdate group whose participants have administration rights for this public folder. The members of this upTUdate group can assign authorizations for the public folder and create subfolders independently (without TU.it having to do anything else).
If you want a public folder for your workgroup, please create an upTUdate group with the name <Ennn>.PF.Admin via TISS - Address Book - upTUdate and select all participants who should have administration rights for the public folder in the group.
Then please send an email to email@example.com and give us the name of the upTUdate group. We will create a Public Folder <Ennn> for you.
