Case b) The domain inst.tuwien.ac.at is distributed (or managed) by the list server.

Case a)

In order for you (as an address manager) to quickly get to such an account, we recommend the following procedure for a fictitious functional account Ennn.specialfunction with fictitious upTUdate authorization group Ennn.specialfunction.user:

  1. As the address manager for the structural element (organizational unit) Ennn, create an upTUdate authorization group Ennn.specialfunction.user whose participants are to be authorized to use this account! (Create an authorization group)
  2. Send an email to upTUdate@tuwien.ac.at and enter the desired functional account (Ennn.specialuser), the desired email address (specialfunction@inst.tuwien.ac.at) and the name of the previously created upTUdate authorization group (Ennn.specialfunction.user).
  3. As soon as you have received a message from TU.it that your functional account Ennn.specialfunction has been created, it can be reached (worldwide) via the email address specialfunction@inst.tuwien.ac.at!

Case b)

In order for you (as an address manager) to quickly get to such an account, we recommend the following procedure for a fictitious functional account Ennn.specialfunction with fictitious upTUdate authorization group Ennn.specialfunction.user:

  1. Create an upTUdate authorization group Ennn.specialfunction.user as the address manager for the structure item (organizational unit) Ennn, whose participants are to be authorized to use this account! (Create an authorization group)
