For the use of all possibilities and a smooth functioning it is recommended to use an email program which establishes the connection via Exchange's own protocol (e.g. MS-Outlook version 2013 and higher).
If only the functions sending and receiving emails are desired, email programs with IMAP support can also be used (recommended: Mozilla Thunderbird).
IMAP can be configured as follows (names may vary depending on the program used):
Set the following, depending on what your mail client requires from you:

|incoming mail server (IMAP):||mail.intern.tuwien.ac.at (Port 993, encrypted SSL/TLS)|
|outgoing mail server (SMTP):||mail.intern.tuwien.ac.at (Port 587, encrypted STARTTLS)|
Please note that you must set up the account from the TU network (if necessary via VPN), further use is possible from any network!
The app "Outlook for iOS and Android" remains blocked on our upTUdate servers due to data protection reasons.
