Spam level dependent mail blocking
Email Options: "Block Spam Level"
If the current rating of a message reaches or exceeds the spam level of this option, an attempt is made to block the email.
The allowed - even if not always reasonable - value range is from 0 to 100. Below 5 is not reasonable because the danger is too high that normal emails are blocked as spam. More than 20 then only applies to spam with an extreme spam level, such as emails that have been classified as phishing emails.
If this value is not to be effective or inactive, the content of the field in the form must be deleted (do not enter an artificially high value)!
The sender receives a bounce mail (a so-called non-delivery report or NDR) which usually contains the message described below. The sender usually learns about this blockade from the email system - spammers, on the other hand, generally ignore it, where there is usually no bounce mail (e.g. from bot networks).
This is a so-called non-strict option. If a mail addresses several recipients, the mail is only blocked when the spam level of the message reaches or exceeds the blocking level of all recipients. If this is not the case, the mail is still delivered to a recipient, even if the concrete spam level of the message exceeds the personal block level. This means that blocking becomes effective if the incoming email has only one recipient or if the spam level of all recipients is reached or exceeded in the case of several recipients.
The email of a sender is rejected in the case of a blockage by the mail server of the TU with the following message, which is then taken over in a corresponding bounce email by a mail server outside the TU and returned to the sender. The structure of the message (an often long line) is according to the following pattern:

Here the mail has a rating of 30.9 points due to the rules BAYES_00, GET_MEDS_12, ... etc. and was blocked because the individual limit of 9.0 (may also be due to the spam level for ignoring) was reached. The specified URL, opens an external URL in a new window is intended to help the sender to ensure that any mail rejected as spam still reaches the recipient.
