The authentication service provides optional two-factor authentication.

With two-factor authentication, two determinants are required for a successful application in order to increase security.

The TU Intranet Portal, opens an external URL in a new window uses a time-dependent key according to RFC 6238 in addition to the TUaccount password.

Some key generators

As a first step, a two-factor authentication, opens an external URL in a new window test is recommended.

The activation or deactivation of the two-factor authentication is done via Set two-factor in, opens an external URL in a new window the sidebar of the TU Intranet Portal.

If you lose the code for your key generator, for security reasons the two-factor authentication can only be deactivated after personal consultation and presentation of the TUcard or a valid identity card in the Service Center. Alternatively, the mobile phone signature can be used.
